I hope this zine gives you confidence in helping you to unmask at the pace you feel comfortable. I have designed these zines myself based on my experiences about why unmasking is important to me and has helped me accept myself. Please note that unmasking will look different for each person based on how safe they feel where they are, their economic situation and other dual discrimination they face from their background, culture or race. This is a gentle zine that has no judgement if you don't feel you can completely unmask but gives you some good tools and options for unmasking slowly if that's what you have to do to where you live. If you are neurotypical this zine will help you understand your autistic friend/ relative better, please remember that all autistic people are different and what works for one person may not work for another.
